My career has been devoted to creating opportunities and access for those who have been systemically left out. I spent the first part of my career in education working with students from marginalized communities before transitioning into executive search, placing leaders in mission driven companies across the United States. I joined Lightyear Health because of my grandparents who worked so hard during their lifetime to take care of their family and community and inspired me to do the same for others.
As the Director of Corporate and Clinical Recruiting, I work closely with our recruitment team to ensure we have rigorous, values-based, equitable and inclusive interview processes. I also help place leaders in clinical and corporate roles across our company. I know how great it is to work at Lightyear Health and how mission critical our work is. I’m honored to have the privilege of being one of the first people a candidate meets in their journey towards joining our team!
I started my career as a Teach for America corps member and spent several years in the classroom after my corps experience teaching and building an arts department at a new Elementary school. I found myself becoming more and more interested in how to help excellent teachers find their way into the classroom, which led me to a career in recruitment. Since then, I’ve placed dozens of leaders at mission driven companies, built out training opportunities for my colleagues and developed methodologies to build diverse candidate pipelines and mitigate implicit bias in the hiring process.
Outside of work, I can be found playing pretend with my young daughter, trying to squeeze in a yoga class, seeing theater with family and eating whatever dessert I can find within a 10-mile radius. I’ve tried nearly every bakery in New York City and Chicago and won’t rest until I add more cities to the list.
