I have enjoyed taking care of others since the young age of five. I was able to fulfill this desire initially when I served my country as a Naval Officer and later as a nurse caring for an underserved population. During this time, I became painfully aware of how vital access to care is to individuals. When my mother became ill, I experienced this first hand. Unfortunately, she did not have access to care, which impacted her treatment and prognosis. So, I have dedicated my life to being a part of the solution – finding was to provide access to care to those that otherwise would not have it.
As a Director at Waltham Clinic, I lead a team of highly trained and passionate Advanced Practice Providers in providing individualized care to address behavioral health concerns in the geriatric community. I believe in providing access and quality care with an integrated behavioral health and wellness approach. I work to address behavioral health concerns with the patient as the center of my focus. I utilize evidence based practice and creative approaches to work toward the patient’s healthcare and quality of life goals.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Molecular Biology from Hampton University and a Masters Degree in Nursing from National University. I served as an Officer in the United States Navy and had the great honor of serving the Veteran population at the Veterans Hospital. I partnered with ProWorld and completed a medical mission in Belize and Guatemala .
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, taking vacations, going glamping, reading, attending psychiatric conferences, and volunteering in the community.
