Lightyear Health is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our fast growing and talented team committed to improving functional independence and quality of life. 

We are a healthcare technology startup that is changing what it means to age. By delivering accessible, proactive, specialty care to post-acute care facilities, our aging patients and their caregivers can live a life of dignity, fullness, and joy. Using our proprietary technology and expertise in complex care, our team collaborates with individuals, families, and caregivers to design personalized care plans that address the holistic needs of each patient.

To help us achieve our mission, we are looking to hire a mission-driven Engineer who wants to work end to end, create intuitive user experiences for our patients and clinicians, while also helping to scale our infrastructure that makes it all possible. In this role, you’ll have an opportunity to rotate on projects that range from data to design while openly communicating your ideas and iterations cross-functionally. This is a full time role that reports into our Chief Engineering Officer.

As a key member of our Engineering, Product, and Data Science department, here’s what you’ll do:

• Design and build new features for Lightyear Health’s engine used by clinicians, patients, and our internal teams
• Help us to scale – work on infrastructure projects that allow us to transition from an early stage startup to a fast-growing company 
• Rotate on projects related to anything from infrastructure, to data engineering, to mobile
• Bring your ideas to the table and collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers and clinicians
  
  

We’d love to hear from you if you have the following:

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Ability to work end to end and willingness to use the right tools for the job. We use Python, Javascript, React, GCP, and Postgres to name a few
• Professional experience building complex web applications
• Strong computer science fundamentals – either with a degree or professional experience
• Ability to work in a fast paced remote environment while communicating across teams 
• Experience with Javascript, Typescript and Python/Django is a big plus

Compensation: 

We’re committed to an inclusive, consistent, and equitable approach to compensation and anticipate that this position will earn between $120,000 – $150,000 USD annually. The exact salary will depend on (1) how many years of relevant and transferable experience you bring to the role and (2) the internal level at which you are hired in relation to our career development framework. This role is eligible to  receive meaningful equity in the form of a stock option grant.
